The Lady Cougars Soccer Team pulled off the improbably victory on Monday 10/19 by defeating the #7 Seeded Deer Park Wildcats on their home field 4-3.  Clark struck first with a goal by Ryan Grace on a penalty kick.  Deer Park came storming back scoring two late goals in the first have to take a 2-1 lead at halftime.  The Lady Cougars would not get discouraged, as they came out of halftime on fire.  Nyah Jackson scored on a 35 yard free kick through the goalie’s legs to tie the score 2-2 within the first minute of the 2nd half.  Shortly after that, Clark piled on two more goals by Freshman Chloe Schuck and Sophomore Jocelyn Kennedy to make it a 4-2 game.  Deer Park responded back with another goal and had some good looks as they attempted to tie the game.  The Cougars defensive unit of Audrey Klus, Sarah Edwards, Sarah Wygant, Ryan Grace, and keeper Meredith Bruce held strong as they held onto the 4-3 victory!!! This is the first Girls Soccer tournament victory since 2013 (vs. Finneytown).  The Clark girls will take on Roger Bacon on Thursday 10/22 7:00pm @ Roger Bacon.
